FDM services

What we do for companies

FDM only. Four services, from the same print farm, built for people who need to manufacture, not for gadget orders.

Materials

The material follows the job

Seven filaments, chosen for strength, heat, outdoors or flexibility. The full comparison is on the technical page.

PETG

Glycol-modified PET

HDT70 °C

The most common serial-production compromise: tougher than PLA, easier than ABS, decent chemical resistance.

Typical uses
Functional parts, housings, brackets, short runs that have to last on the shop floor.
Watch-outs
It scratches more easily than PC and does not love long periods of direct sun.

Process

How a part gets made

  1. 01

    File and quantity

You upload STL, OBJ or 3MF to the quote tool, or send us the STEP for custom batches, with material and quantity.

  2. 02

    Price from the geometry

The quote tool reads the geometry. The final price is checked again before checkout.

  3. 03

    FDM batch printing

We run the batch with fixed parameters so parts stay consistent.

  4. 04

    Check and shipping

We check the parts and ship across Italy and Europe, or prepare pickup in Savona.

FAQ

Questions from engineering teams

01When does serial FDM beat an injection mold?

Below a few thousand parts, almost always. A mold starts at several thousand euros and weeks of waiting. With FDM the tooling cost is zero and a standard-material batch can start in 24–48 hours. From 10 parts we apply −20%, from 30 parts −40%, and from 100 parts a custom B2B price.

02Which files can you quote?

The quote tool reads STL, OBJ and 3MF. For modeling and spares from drawings we also take STEP and dimensioned drawings. The online price is checked again before it becomes a checkout line.

03What is the maximum print size?

The usable volume of the FDM print farm is 256 × 256 × 260 mm. Larger parts are reviewed separately, including splitting them into components to assemble.

04How fast can a batch ship?

For medium PLA, PETG and ABS we estimate about two production days, plus shipping. Nylon, ASA and polycarbonate usually need about seven days. Shipping in Italy is 24/48 hours, and about 48 hours in Europe.

05Can we sign an NDA before sending files?

Yes. For prototypes, batches and contract work we can sign a confidentiality agreement. Download our template from the NDA page, fill it in and send it to info@ricreo.io before the final files.

06Which FDM materials do you use for functional parts?

For functional runs we mainly use PETG, ABS, ASA, nylon and polycarbonate. PLA stays for visual trials and light jigs. TPU covers seals and grips. The materials page compares strength, heat, UV and flexibility.

07Is the quote-tool price the final price?

The widget prices the part from its geometry and from the production rules. Before checkout the price is checked again, so a discount or an inconsistent file cannot slip into the order.

08Do you ship outside Liguria?

Yes. We manufacture in Savona and ship across Italy, Europe and, on request, outside the EU.

You have a file and a quantity?

Price the part in the quote tool, or send us the batch if you need an NDA, an assembly or contract pricing.
