PLA + TPU
Type 2 charging plug
An electric-vehicle connector model, with body, ring and grip printed in PLA and TPU to test shape and handling.
From file to a part you can hold
A prototype is there to help you decide. We print it in FDM with a material close to the end use, so the test actually means something.

Rapid FDM prototyping shortens the loop between engineering and the test bench. The part comes out to the file dimensions, ready to check envelopes, holes, hinges and handling.
When the prototype is approved, the same file moves into serial production without changing technology. Iterations stay on the model, not on tooling.
Typical lead time 2–7 days
A CAD change becomes physical again without waiting on a tooling supplier.
PETG, ABS, ASA, nylon or PC, chosen for heat, impact and environment.
Fits, screws and envelopes are checked on the part, not only on screen.
Prototype files stay within the order. We can work under an NDA on request.

Applications
Checks of envelopes, holes and interference with the rest of the assembly.
Snap fits, clips, screws and hinges tested on the part before the design is frozen.
Handles, controls and housings to hold in hand, including soft TPU parts.
Parts in PETG, ABS, nylon or PC that survive a load, heat or impact test.
Process
01
We clarify whether you need a visual, dimensional or structural part.
02
We match the FDM filament to the test, not to a showroom sample.
03
Orientation, shells and infill are chosen for the test you need to run.
04
With the part in hand you choose a revision or the move to a batch.

FAQ
Typically in 2–7 days. PLA, PETG and ABS take about two production days, nylon, ASA and polycarbonate about seven. Shipping within Italy takes 24/48 hours.
It depends on the test. PLA is enough for shape and envelope. PETG and ABS handle impact and repeated assembly, ASA handles sun, nylon wear and hinges, polycarbonate heat and load. TPU covers grips and seals.
Yes. The same file moves into serial FDM production without changing technology, so the part you tested is the part you get in the batch.
Yes. Prototype files stay within the order and, on request, we work under a confidentiality agreement signed before we receive the final files.
The build volume is 256 × 256 × 260 mm. Larger parts are reviewed separately, including splitting them into components to assemble.
